SWEET FRANKINCENSE RESIN 

Boswellia Sacra Frankincense - From the Dhofar Mountain Range, Oman.

This darker variety of Frankincense forms in a mountainous climate. The trees become stressed by moist air rolling in from the Indian Ocean. The moist air is captured by the Dhofar Mountains, which run along the coast of the Dhofar Governorate of Oman, at an average height of 4000ft.Frankincense trees suffer in the humid high altitude here, and thus produce a potent resin of a particular nature. Likewise, the deserts of Oman stress the trees in a different way, producing a resin of a different nature.

This resin is extremely gummy and sweet smelling when raw - with even a hint of clove spice. On charcoal however, this resin produces all of the fragrances expected from a high grade Frankincense with a twist of sweetness to add to the heavenly aroma. Potent and cleansing, and often rare, this form of Boswellia Sacra resin is well worth adding to your collection.
